Telehandler SOG
People doing higher-risk work in the petrochemical industry, ports, industrial plants, etc. in the Netherlands are required to partake in additional safety training – SOG.
If you want to become a telescopic forklift operator and work in said environments, you need (in addition to the VCA certificate) to complete a course and pass the SOG exam.
You can do this by signing up for a course at Bonapi.
We organise telescopic forklift SOG courses in 4 languages: Dutch, English, Polish and German.
This course lasts 2 days and is concluded with an exam
Types of telescopic forklift training:
- lifting
- lifting (after prior telephone contact)
- lifting + craning (after prior telephone contact)
- basket platform (after prior telephone contact)
The cost of SOG telehandler training includes:
- training
- training materials
- exam
- certificate

- friendly atmosphere with an experienced instructor
Course programme:
- Operation of various types of telescopic forklifts
- Driving during loading and vehicle stability
- Accident prevention and damage prevention
- Daily inspection of the machine and basic measurements
- Legal regulations for operating heavy equipment
Training with examination, SOG telescopic forklift lasts 2 days and consists of 3 segments:
- Theoretical training
- Practical training
- Exam
Each trainee must be at least 18 years old and have a valid identity document (identity card or passport).
Note: A driving licence is not a valid identity document.
The course participant must hold a valid VCA Basis or VCA VOL certificate.
The telescopic forklift SOG course is conducted in the following languages:
