Basic VCA exam without course

Did you know that it is not necessary to attend a training course in order to take the Basic VCA exam? Anyone who meets the formal requirements for obtaining the Basic VCA certificate can take the examination without any problems. However, practice shows that an attempt to take the exam without prior preparation is in most cases unsuccessful. Learning the course material on a classroom course, online or by using books proves to be essential.

The price/cost of the Basic VCA exam includes:

  • exam

  • and a pleasant atmosphere

The Basic VCA exam lasts for 1 hour.
If you have a significant visual impairment you are entitled to an additional 15 minutes.

The exam starts at 14:45.
It is necessary to arrive at least 15 minutes early.

Each trainee must be at least 18 years old and have a valid identity document (identity card or passport).
Note: A driving licence is not a valid identity document.

Retaking the Basic VCA exam

Retaking the Basic VCA examination in the Netherlands is caused by a number of situations. The most common is failure to pass the exam the first time or problems with the validity of an identity document found on a previous date. In such situations, the training company Bonapi offers the possibility of taking the exam itself without training.
