VOL VCA Certificate in the Netherlands
The VOL VCA certificate is a Dutch document designed for supervisors. In the Netherlands, all personnel managing employees, managers, owners of companies are obliged to have this document.
Having a VOL VCA certificate means that you are familiar with the rules and regulations and can recognise and prevent dangerous situations and incidents.
VOL VCA course and exam
The VOL VCA course prepares you to take the exam and gain your VOL VCA certificate.
At the Bonapi training company, we run regular courses in both Basic VCA and VOL VCA.

The VCA VOL exam course lasts for 1 day.
- 8 hours of theoretical classes
- 75-minute exam
The course starts at 7.30 a.m. until 3.30 p.m.
At 15.30 the exam is scheduled.
Each trainee must be at least 18 years old and have a valid identity document (identity card or passport).
Note: A driving licence is not a valid identity document.
The VOL VCA exam course is conducted in the following languages:
- English
- Dutch
- French
- German
Courses with the VOL VCA exam are held in Spijkenisse, Ridderkerk and Den Haag.
What is the VOL VCA
The VOL VCA is a structured knowledge of occupational safety, health and the environment. In contrast to the Basic VCA, which looks at these topics from the employee’s point of view, the VOL VCA deals with these issues from the perspective of the employer and personnel manager.
