VVL hooklift course (verplaatsen van lasten) – safe cargo handling
The Rigger Training in the Netherlands and Belgium. The course “Moving loads with manual lifting equipment” (Verplaatsen van lasten) and lifting tools is aimed at workers who need to hook and move loads with, for example, a crane. Another name of this training is “Load supervision course – hook” and consists of a theoretical and practical part. The training is designed to prepare employees to perform these activities in a correct, safe and responsible manner. In the Netherlands, this training is designed for employees who work on installations in warehouses, workshops or laboratories and secure and move loads themselves. Loads are limited to structural elements such as pipe sections, small appliances, electric motors that can be moved with manual lifting tools.

- Description of specialized equipment: slings and type of material, selection of fastening element, suspension of loads, data of lifting belts and steel slings,lifting beam, movable structural part, movable scaffolding material, special lifting points.
- Practical preparation: safety rules, selection of materials and measures, transport route.
- During work: communication, fastening, positioning and moving loads with hand lifting tools.
VVL training lasts 1 day and consists of 2 segments:
- Theoretical training (completed with an exam);
- Practical training (completed with an exam).
Each participant must be at least 18 years old and have a valid identity document (ID card or passport).
Candidates for the course must be fully physically and mentally fit. This means that individuals with missing or impaired limbs cannot participate in the training. Participants must have full physical ability to safely and effectively operate this type of machinery.

For the convenience of our trainees, the Bonapi Training Center has prepared teaching facilities with well equipped lecture rooms, a practical training area and a large hall.
VVL certificate
After completing the VVL theoretical and practical exam with the appropriate result, you will obtain the Dutch hook certificate “Veilig Verplaatsen van Lasten”.
The qualification is valid for 5 years and, before this date, you must take a refresher course and pass the exam.
