Overhead crane operator course – Incompany course
For the convenience of employees and the employer, we offer stationary training at your workplace. The advantage of this kind of training is that everything takes place during working time without the additional costs associated with travelling to the training center.
This training consists of a theoretical and a practical part.
Bonapi is also a certified training company for load hooking – VVL-certified

- Standards and guidelines for cranes
- Inspection and survey
- Safe working with an overhead crane
- Operating a crane
- Risks associated with working with an overhead crane
- Types of slings and auxiliary equipment and ways of making slings
- Operation of slings and hooks,
- Duties of the hookman,
- Practical classes
Course and exam duration:
1 day
- Theory 3 hours
- Practical 4 hours
Each trainee must be at least 18 years old and have a valid identity document (identity card or passport).
Note: A driving licence is not a valid identity document.
The lack of health contraindications to work as a overhead crane operator is also required.
Candidates for the course must be fully physically and mentally fit. This means that individuals with missing or impaired limbs cannot participate in the training. Participants must have full physical ability to safely and effectively operate this type of machinery.
Training takes place on the customer’s premises – incompany training.
Crane operator certificate
Dutch regulations make it mandatory to comply with the rules for working with cranes. The best way to prove compliance with the regulations is to have a crane operator certificate.
Crane operator certificates are valid for 5 years from the date of passing the exam.
