ABvL course (aanslaan en begeleiden van lasten)/ cargo securing and routing
Training to become the Rigger in the Netherlands and Belgium SOG (IS 006). The practical course “SECURING AND GUIDING THE LOAD”, “AANSLAAN EN BEGELEIDEN VAN LASTEN”, is aimed at workers who need to hook and move loads with the help of a crane with an operator.
Another name of this training is “Load Supervision Course, Hooked” and consists of a theoretical and practical part in the SOG standard. The training is designed to prepare employees to perform these activities in a correct, safe and responsible manner. In the Netherlands, ABvL training is available in many languages and is intended for employees who work on construction sites, refineries, at installations, construction projects, or laboratories where they independently secure and guide loads. Loads are limited to structural elements such as pipe sections, small equipment, electric motors that can be moved with manual crane tools with an operator.

• Terminology
• Legislation ( ARBO, AL-17)
• Safety at work.
• Discussion of specialized equipment: slings and type of material, selection of fastening element, suspension of loads, data of lifting belts and steel slings, and lifting beam, movable structural part, movable scaffolding material, special lifting points.
• Practical preparation: safety rules, selection of materials and means, transport route.
• During practice: communication (signalling, use of radio), fastening, positioning and moving loads with hand lifting tools.
ABvL training lasts 3 days and consists of 2 segments:
- Theoretical training (completed with an exam);
- Practical training (completed with an exam).
- Each participant must be at least 18 years old and have a valid identity document (ID card or passport)
- Valid VCA Basic/VCA VOL or SCC 018/SCC 017 qualifications.

For the convenience of our trainees, the Bonapi Training Center has prepared teaching facilities with well equipped lecture rooms, a practical training area and a large hall.
ABvL exam
After completing the theoretical and practical exam, you will obtain an entry in the register and an SSVV certificate.
Sign up now for the ABvL course at BONAPI. We will take care of the training and prepare you for the exam.
The ABvL course is often combined with the VvL course to unfasten and move the load yourself using cranes or hand tools. Ask for details of the combi course by e-mail.
SOG qualification is valid for 5 years and before this date, you must complete the refresher course and pass the exam.
