TELEHANDLER OPERATOR

Telescopic fork-lift truck operator course in the Netherlands
In our wide range of training courses, we also have rare and specialised ones such as the telescopic forklift operator course. Telescopic forklift trucks (so-called Manitoe or Telehandler) designed primarily for moving loads (pallets, soil, concrete elements, loose materials, etc.) on unpaved or uneven ground. They excel where conventional front forklifts cannot cope. The natural working environment for variable reach trucks is construction sites, ports or the agricultural sector. The telescopic forklift course is divided into 2 parts, theoretical and practical. The first is a multimedia-enhanced lecture and the second focuses on learning to operate a modern Manitou machine.

Do I need a licence for telehandlers?
Despite the fact that there is no legal regulation, it is in fact necessary to have a licence to operate telescopic handlers in order to work as an operator. This is enforced by internal company regulations but also by insurance company requirements. In addition, the very awareness and attention to safety induces employers to work with people who can operate these machines safely. The certainty of such skills is only provided by a valid certificate with which the employee can identify himself.
