Basic VCA Online Course in Dutch
The online Basic VCA course is an excellent option for individuals who want to gain knowledge in workplace safety, risk assessment, and accident prevention. The course content is identical to that covered during in-person sessions—the only difference is the flexibility of the learning format.
This course is a great alternative for anyone who wants to prepare for the exam at a time and place that suits them. The course is conducted in Dutch, so a working knowledge of the language is recommended for effective learning.
Online VCA Training
The online version of the Basic VCA course, prepared by Bonapi, is ideal for those who cannot attend traditional in-person training due to work obligations, being abroad, or simply preferring to study at their own pace.
The course is intended for:
individuals working in shifts or with flexible schedules
participants currently outside the Netherlands
candidates who prefer to study at home, at their own pace
If the online test is passed, the theoretical part is considered complete, and the participant proceeds directly to the practical part.
We reserve the right to re-verify the participant’s theoretical knowledge with questions during the practical exam or through a repeated test, to confirm that the online test was completed based on the participant’s own knowledge.

The training offers comprehensive preparation for the Basic VCA exam. Topics covered include:
History and purpose of the VCA system
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Labour law regulations in the Netherlands
Workplace safety and hygiene, risk assessment
Risky behaviour and workplace accidents
Working with electricity and related hazards
Hazardous substances – impact on health and environment
Fire safety principles and fire extinguishing methods
Operation of machines and equipment
Safe use of forklifts
Working with cranes and lifts
Working at height – use of baskets, ladders, scaffolding
Safe use of hand and mechanical tools
Working in confined spaces, work permits
Evacuation procedures
Role and responsibilities of the Dutch labour inspection authority
Although the course is completed online, the final exam is always conducted in person.

To take part in the course and exam, you must:
be at least 18 years old
have a valid ID card or passport
Note: A driver’s license is not accepted as a valid ID.

Can I use my driver’s license as ID for the exam?
