Hybrid Basic VCA course in Portuguese
The Basic VCA online course in Portuguese is a modern occupational safety training program that covers topics such as risk assessment, health and safety principles, hazard response, and accident prevention. The online course includes the same material as the in-person version.
Participants can study at their own pace, at a time and place that suits them. It’s the ideal solution for those who want to independently prepare for the VCA exam using the Portuguese language.
Online Training
The Basic VCA course delivered online by Bonapi was designed for individuals who are unable to attend traditional classroom sessions. With the Portuguese version of the course, Portuguese-speaking learners also have the opportunity to gain the necessary qualifications.
We especially recommend the online course for:
people working in shifts or with irregular schedules
individuals currently living outside the Netherlands
participants who prefer self-paced learning in comfortable conditions
If the online test is passed, the theoretical part is considered completed, and the participant proceeds directly to the practical part.
We reserve the right to reverify the participant’s theoretical knowledge through questions asked during the practical part or by requiring a retest to confirm that the online test was genuinely completed based on the participant’s own knowledge.
The €165.00 fee includes:
access to the full online training in Portuguese
the in-person VCA exam
a digital certificate upon passing the exam
The Basic VCA course covers the following topics:
Introduction to the VCA system and its history
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Dutch labour law regulations
Workplace hygiene, safety, and risk analysis
Hazards caused by unsafe behaviour and accident causes
Working under electrical voltage – identifying risks
Hazardous substances – impact on health and the environment
Fire safety rules and fire extinguishing techniques
Operating machinery
Working with forklifts
Safety rules for cranes and lifting platforms
Working at height – scaffolding, ladders, platforms
Use of hand and mechanical tools
Working in confined spaces and the permit-to-work system
Evacuation procedures
Responsibilities and powers of the Labour Inspectorate
Although the course is delivered online, the final exam is always conducted in person – this applies to both online and hybrid courses.

To take part in the course and the exam, you must:
be at least 18 years old
have a valid identity document (ID card or passport)
Note: a driving licence is not accepted as a valid form of identification.

On-site, we provide comfortable conditions – three fully equipped training rooms.
Is the Portuguese VCA course different from other language versions?
No – all language versions of the course cover the same content, aligned with official exam requirements.
Can I take the exam in Portuguese?
Yes – you can sign up for the exam in Portuguese. Simply select the language when registering.
Can I complete the course in another country?
Yes – the course can be completed from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. However, the exam must be taken in person in the Netherlands.
Do I need to know Dutch to take the course?
No – the course is entirely in Portuguese, and knowledge of Dutch is not required.
