Development Voucher – Don’t Miss Out on 500 Euros from Your Employment Agency

lol

Are you working in the Netherlands as a temporary worker? You show up every day, do your job diligently, but you feel it’s time to take a step forward. Maybe you want to acquire new qualifications or switch to a different industry. But how can you do that when your budget is tight and time is scarce?
This is where the Scholingsvoucher comes in – a training voucher worth up to 500 euros available for temporary workers in the Netherlands. 500 euros to invest in yourself. Not a loan. Not a credit. Not a “pay first, get reimbursed later.” It’s as simple as it sounds – you get the funds, choose a course, and start learning. Just like that.

Who Came Up with This Idea, and Why Does It Work?

Behind it all is Doorzaam, a foundation that understands how essential temporary workers are to the Dutch job market. Whether it's the construction or logistics sector, many industries rely heavily on temporary workers.

But let’s be honest – if you’re only in the Netherlands for a short period, investing in your personal development can feel like a gamble. What if you don’t stay? What if that course ends up being a waste of money?

That’s exactly why Doorzaam decided to step in. They have been funding training courses for people who want more than just punching in and out at 7 a.m. every day.

When Can You Apply for the Voucher?

In 2025, there are two more application rounds:

June 2nd – the upcoming round,
September 29th – the last chance this year.

After receiving the voucher, you have four months to use it (for the June round).

Keep in mind that the number of available vouchers is limited, and they are granted on a first-come, first-served basis. So, don’t wait – the sooner you apply through your agency, the higher your chances of securing the voucher.

How to Get Started?

  1. Contact your uitzendbureau (temporary employment agency) and ask about the possibility of applying for the Scholingsvoucher. Don’t hesitate to ask. Agencies know about it. In some cases, they may even nominate interested candidates – all you need to do is signal your interest in upskilling.
    2. Choose the course you’re interested in.
    3. After receiving the voucher, register for the course and start your journey toward professional development!

If they don’t know about it, contact us at Bonapi. We can help you navigate the process and get through the system.

\You can use this voucher in many places, including Bonapi Training Center. Want to learn how to drive a forklift with a DNV certificate? Or maybe you’re tempted by IPAF or Manitou?
You don’t have the funds? But you have a voucher – and that’s all you need to secure your spot in one of our courses!

500 euros might not change your life.
But it can change your course. And quite literally.
